Why would I use this book in the classroom:

As a future educator, I'd use this book in my classroom to teach students to follow their dreams. Jane Goodall had a passion. Her love for animals began at a young age. This book shows that dreams do come true. Jane Goodall is proof. Children will love the fun animal drawings and the motivation this book brings.

Appropriate grade level:

I think an appropriate grade level for this book is Prek-1st. It is an easy read, and has illustrations that reflect Jane's biography.

Ideas for unit of study to include the book in and how you might use the book in the classroom:

  • Language Arts/Art: I would use this book to have students complete an activity where they describe something they are passionate about, and they could include a drawing.
