Why would I use this book in the classroom:

As a future educator, I'd use this book in my classroom to teach students about Rosa Parks, a historical figure. The book is narrated by a talking bus, which students will find fun. The illustrations in this book are easy to follow, and show historical events.

Appropriate grade level:

I think an appropriate grade level for this book is 1st-3rd grade. Students will be able to follow along, and learn about Rosa Parks. They will also have more of an understanding of the Civil Rights movement. This will help them make connections and have an understanding on Rosa Park's role.
